Allow Vibrancy to Live

From the beginning, I have always loved image-making. Throughout my childhood, creating colourful fantasy creatures and worlds was my escape from the difficulties of growing up. As an adult, this one joy brought me out of the darkness.

The world needs art; we need to express our imaginations and tell stories to each other. Storytelling is the thing that has made us all human - and illustration is storytelling with pictures - and decorating our space. There is too much soulless corporate grey in the world right now. I want a future where we add beauty to our homes, streets and objects.

My illustration is a pure expression of imagination, love and beauty. I go into a meditative trance of flow when making some paintings.

I am influenced by several visual styles: Art Nouveau, Japanese woodblock prints, pop surrealism, psychedelic art, and the Arts and Crafts movement. I seek out joy and beauty in things made by other artists, so I am drawn to the films of Guillermo Del Toro, Studio Ghibli and any good fantasy or science fiction.

I adore many video games, play Dungeons and Dragons, and paint Warhammer miniatures.

Pure, unfiltered love for the art of illustration, a unique world perspective and a desire to make something wonderful for another person.
